  • raced initially with brother Jozef in Ranst
  • belonged to the best Belgian fanciers for half a century
  • the Horemans strain allowed crossings easily
  • Corneel strove to keep his strain as pure as possible
  • during WWII the loft was occupied by the Germans and in August 1944 Horemans was allowed to keep only about 20 pigeons; the other pigeons were caught
  • son Louis Horemans raced for a while after the death of Corneel
