  • father Flor Engels (1909-2002) started in 1947 with the pigeon sport as recreation for the hard work on the field in vegetable growing
  • sons Jos and Jules were involved from the beginning
  • the name recognition of the Engels strain dates from the end of the 70s, early 80s
  • they won 10 national and more than 100 provincial races
  • about “the 231”: “You must be lucky to have such a breeder.”
  • son Jos stopped the pigeon sport in 2017 and died on March 25th 2019
  • son Jules now races together with his son Yves
